Gut Health: Prebiotics and Probiotics
Probiotics and prebiotics can get complicated! We’re here to make it easy for you.
Prebiotics are a type of fiber that the human body cannot digest . They serve as food for probiotics, which are tiny living microorganisms, including bacteria and yeast. Both prebiotics and probiotics may support helpful bacteria and other organisms in the gut .
Benefits of probiotics include: improved gut health, improved immune system, boosting mental health, and lowering blood pressure . Benefits of prebiotics include: enhancing mineral absorption, encouraging normal blood sugar levels, aiding weight loss, and boosting bone health .
Getting your daily dose of fiber and taking a probiotic are two of the best things you can do for a healthy gut.
